Youth Ministry

HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH MINISTRY: St. James Youth Ministry is open to all high school students in our community. Our Youth Group offers students an opportunity to grow in their faith, make new friends and have fun in an open and honest atmosphere. We gather weekly for discussions, activities, and social events. We focus on one community service per month. 

If your are interested in finding out more, please join us on Thursday evenings from 7:30 – 9:00 p.m. in the school gym. Our schedule follows St. James the Apostle School calendar from September through May.

JUNIOR HIGH YOUTH MINISTRY: Join with other 7th and 8th grade students in the Junior Youth Group. This group will begin meeting monthly beginning in January 2012 through May.  We will meet together with the High School Youth Group for a combined evening.  All are welcome. The dates are as follows:

January 19th, February 9th, March 8th, May 17th and May 31st for our Year End Barbecue Bash.

Additional dates include March 22 & 29th for Living Stations of the Cross rehearsal and April 6th for our presentation of Living Stations of the Cross.

2012 LOCK-IN 

The Lock-In has been postponed.  We will inform of a new date once we are able to set one with the team.

 

SKI TRIP  February 24-26, 2012

Cost is $190 (4 per room)

 Full Balance is now due. Please bring your final payment to Youth Group on Thursday, Jan. 19th.

 

January Community Service

We are collecting items for our soldiers.  Please bring any of the below items to Youth Group on Thursday night, January 19th. The items will be donated for assembly by Operation Shoe Box and delivered to soldiers around the world. See list of items needed:

Individual packets of coffee/tea

Gum

Lip balm

Small sizes of bug repellent

Personal size moist wipes (No big tubs please.)

Deodorant

Travel size powder, shampoo, toothpaste, mouthwash

Tooth brushes

Small individual size dry cereal

Small individual sizes of canned tuna or canned fruit
