Dear Confirmandi Parents;
Msgr. Bill Hatcher and the Confirmation Coordinators have important changes to the Parish Confirmation Program to share with you and your child. Please mark your calendar for these important upcoming dates:
Candidate Blessing: Confirmandi, their families and sponsors, if available, will be presented to the Saint James Parish Community for a special covenant blessing at either Mass on Saturday January 7, 2012 at 5:00pm or Sunday January 8, 2012 at 10:30am. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of Mass to sign in.
Confirmation Reconciliation Service: Candidates, families and sponsors, if available, are to attend a Reconciliation Prayer Service followed by individual confessions; again, you have the choice of attending either Monday October 1, 2012 at 7:30pm or Saturday October 6, 2012 at 11:00am in the Church.
Confirmation Retreat: we are looking at Friday September 21, 2012 from 5:30pm to 9:30pm or Saturday September 22, 2012 from 1:00pm concluding after Mass at 5:00pm. These dates are not confirmed yet, but if you already know your child is unavailable, please contact us as soon as possible so we can help you find an alternate retreat. Other parishes have retreats that your child can attend, but please remember, ours is one of the last Confirmations during the year, so there may not be a parish retreat for your child to attend.
Candidates, sponsors and family members are expected to dress appropriately. This information has been conveyed to you and your child but if you have a question as to appropriateness, please call the Religious Education Office. If a family member needs special accommodations for any prayer service or Mass, please contact us as soon as possible. Please continue to check the web site for additional information.
