Reconcilation and Communion

Sacramental Preparation
Children receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation (First Penance/ Confession) and First Eucharist (Holy Communion) in Grade 2. Parents attend a Reconciliation Parent Meeting in the Fall. Children are prepared with a home study text as well in class with reinforcement activities. Children are then presented by their parents and receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation in the month of February.

Children in the second grade also receive the Sacrament of First Eucharist in the Spring. Children and their parents attend a First Eucharist Workshop typically in the month of February. An additional supplemental text book is completed at home and are reviewed during class sessions. This additional text serves as an excellent reinforcement tool.
